Syston Rugby Football Club was founded in 1887 in the
small village on the northern side of Leicester.
Originally playing on Memorial Park, using the Queen Vic
pub as a clubhouse, the club later moved to Fosse Way
where they built a new clubhouse.
The club played there in the village for over a century,
until in 1989 it moved the short distance to Queniborough.
Now with over 150 senior and 250 children members,
Syston RFC is as important today as ever, providing rugby
development right through from the Mini and Junior age
groups up to the Colts and four Senior sides. |
